Kamidana (a household Shinto altar) is
Japanese important traditional culture. We put it on ceiling,
because we thought ceiling is holiest place in the house, next to the sky and god. It’s old habits.
but now, We never think about ceiling is holly things, or We don’t have any idea
how ceiling is important in our life, it is just a ceiling.
When you see the ceiling,You just can see indoor light or many ducts
which bringing the air and water to your place.
So then, How could I find the Japanese religious aesthetics in there.
I try to collect ceiling pictures, it is not just a ceilings but a religious structures.
